of the
Fellowship of Isis
Isis Oasis, Geyserville, California
1991 - 1994
Highlights
1991 - Dedication of the Temple of Isis Library
Presenters included Arisa Victor, Diane Conn Darling, Leslie Campbell, Paul Ramses and Loreon Vigne.
This event included the official dedication of the Temple of Isis Library. It is comprised of donated
magazines, newspaper articles, works of literature, poetry, and research on the Goddess Isis and other deities. A number of
temple priestesses, priests and members brought offerings to start the library. It is still in existence today, and still
growing! The Temple Library is a wonderful resource available to visitors and members.
Paul Ramses gave a workshop on tapping into the "Akashic Library" (Akashic Record) to retrieve past life experiences.
Leslie, who is Loreon’s niece, gave a workshop on creative writing and improvisation at Isis Oasis in
1991, which launched a series of annual retreat/workshops she has facilitated at Isis Oasis ever since then (they now take
place in the winter) called “Ripe Fruit School of Creative Writing.” Leslie feels “We can all achieve brilliant
moments of writing if properly guided.” Particpants gathered under the Great Fir Tree during theday, and in the evening
sat around a fire to gaze at the stars for inspiration.
1992 - Celebrating Nature
Of the event this year Loreon writes: “The Temple of Isis has a sister branch, entirely separate but
working jointly in many ways - the Isis Society for Inspirational Studies. One of the FOI Convocation presentations in 1992
centered around the ways ancient Egyptians honored the Moon, with festivals according to a lunar calendar in their temples.
We observed the moon and stars at night, and did nature attunements during the day at different places throughout
the grounds. The earth is way out of balance now, because we are out of balance with nature.
We showed films in the theatre dealing with zoology, horticulture and environmental issues. This portion of
the Manifesto was featured in our teachings and events that year: “Priestesses and Priests work with the Goddess
- or Goddess and God - of their own Faith. Every human, animal, bird, tree is an eternal offspring of the Mother Goddess's
Divine Family of Life.”
We had the wonderful group from Willits that came with Diane, and Vicki and Edith. Elizabeth Kelly, Arisa
and Paul were in attendance.”
1993 - A Video Taped Interview with Olivia Robertson
1993, the year of the Second Parliament of the World’s Religions which was held in Chicago August 28th - September
4. Of the FOI Convocation held at Isis Oasis this year, Loreon writes: “We did a series of events based on our experiences
during the Parliament. Paul had taped a video interview of Lady Olivia which we showed for the first time in our theatre.”
Loreon and Paul spoke of the amazing synchronicities that occurred during the event in Chicago, and Loreon of the synchronicities
that had led her to the Isian path. Olivia’s play in Chicago echoed the work done at the FOI Convocation in Geyserville
the year before, in celebration of nature and the moon. Members attending the 1993 Convocation felt attuned with a current
of energy that seemed to encompass FOI members all over the world.
Note: The FOI ritual drama enacted at the Parliament was, “Isis and Osiris: The Judgment”
from the FOI Liturgy booklet “Gaea: Initiations of the Earth”.
1994 - Healing Ceremonies
The event this year saw the initial emergence of a group of priestesses and priests that would form the
core of active clergy so viable in the Temple of Isis today. deTraci Regula, Arisa Victor, Elizabeth Kelly, Le’ema Kathleen
Graham, Mana Youngbear, and Diveena were all present. Activities centered around sending healing and strength to those communities
in California to the south that had endured firestorms and floods during the spring and summer. Diveena produced one of her
first Mandala presentations. deTraci Regula gave a talk on Isis. Arisa introduced her work as Granny Rainbow.
